Scroll Pilot — Privacy Policy

Overview

Scroll Pilot is a browser extension that provides automated scrolling functionality. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about what data we handle.

Data we collect

Scroll Pilot does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, browsing history, or website content. All extension settings (scroll speed, direction, preferences) are stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API and are never sent to any external server.

Payment processing

If you choose to upgrade to Pro, payments are handled entirely by ExtensionPay and Stripe. We do not have access to your full credit card number or banking details. Stripe's privacy policy governs how your payment information is handled. The only data stored related to your purchase is your paid/unpaid status, which is managed by ExtensionPay's servers.

Permissions explained

Storage: Used to save your extension preferences (scroll speed, auto-scroll settings, usage count) locally on your device.

Active Tab: Used to send scroll commands to the page you're currently viewing. We do not read or collect any page content.

Scripting: Used to inject the scroll functionality into the active page so the extension can perform scrolling actions.

Third-party services

The only third-party service used is ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com) for payment processing, which itself uses Stripe. No analytics, tracking, or advertising services are used.

Data sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer any user data to third parties. Period.

Changes to this policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
